A quick map of my time at Tueely so far. The role, the mission and what I own.
The role
I joined Tueely in June 2026 as a founding engineer. I work remotely from Toronto and I am on call for the systems I build. The job is early stage, so my scope is wide and it changes week to week.
In one line: I build the technical side of a product that connects engineers with small businesses.
The mission
Tueely exists to give small and medium businesses in food and beverage a real digital presence. A lot of these places run great kitchens but have no website, no search ranking and no clean way to show up online. We help them fix that.
The longer vision is a platform where restaurants get probabilistic insight into the decisions they are weighing. Should they change a menu, a price or a location. Applied deep learning is how we plan to answer questions like that.
Scope
| Area | What I own |
|---|---|
| Product surface | The systems that turn business data into recommendations |
| Tech stack | Python, retrieval-augmented generation, custom data structures |
| Data | Parsing and indexing over a million business entities |
| Ops | On call for the services I ship |
How the work changed over time
I started close to the data. My first job was making a million-plus entities searchable and comparable to each other. Once that held up, I moved toward the reasoning layer on top of it.
Why it matters
Small food businesses compete against chains with full marketing teams. Giving an owner a digital presence and a clear read on their next move levels that a little. That is the part of the job I care about.
